Steven is a minor character in Pictures of Hollis Woods . He doesn't really get heard much, except for Hollis's flashbacks. I'm pretty sure Steven is fine, because she hasn't talked about him much.
"I can't believe Hollis is running away with her foster mother. Is she crazy? She knows how dangerous it is to drive a car up this mountain in winter. And in the darkness! Why is she running away with her foster parent. Usually she runs away because she doesn't like her home, but what now. And with an old lady who can't remember where she put things right when she puts them down, I don't think she'll be able to make it up the icy cold dark mountain. Hollis, I know you wanted to stay with us, but you were sent away. I didn't like it, but that's the way things should be now.
I like how descriptive this piece is although I have a question. What is the last paragraph? It starts with quotations but then there are none to finish it.
ReplyDeleteI like your piece, but I don't think Steven is a Minor character because Hollis is always talking about him in the book. But besides that, I love the voice in your story for Steven.
ReplyDeleteWhoops! Thanks for pointing that out, Erika. Sarah, I think that Steven is a minor character because we haven't heard him actually speak in the present tense
