Am I proud of my country? I don’t know, should I be? Should I be proud that we defeated the Europeans to have freedom from the British rule? Should I be proud that I have grown up in a free place, from religion to speech? Some may say this is all good, but our country is not perfect. Though I hate to admit it, this is true.
We all have flaws. We’re not perfect. We fought against our brothers and sisters because we had slavery. Discrimination against dark people was wrong. But the good thing is, we had righted the wrongs and kept our country going. It’s still not perfect, we are extremely in dept to other countries, and our government is not the greatest. But from a Wisconsin girl’s point of view, life is sweet here in the U.S.A.
